The Bearer, John Elliot, my
Neighbour, tells me, he is lost by the
late uncommon Flood, Barley, Straw
to the amount of 15 shillings;
and six Bolls of Barley, part of
which he sold at half the value.
If you could, by proper application
gain him any Relief, you wd
greatly befriend him, and highly
oblige.
