I The Reverend John Farrer, curate of Haltwhistle parish within mentioned, do hereby Certify that I very well know the within named George Jackson and also the several persons whose names are Subscribed to the above written Certificate and believe him and them to be very honest Men, that I had not an opportunity of seeing the particulars mentioned in the within written account taken away and damaged by the said Flood but very well know that the said George Jackson was then the Farmer of the Farm within mentioned and as such Owner or in possession of the particulars within mentioned to be Swept away and damaged by the within mentioned Flood and believe there was the quantitys and particulars in the said account and estimate contained and that the within written account and estimate is a true and moderate one & I Witness my hand this Thirtieth day of December 1771. John Farrer I The Reverend Thomas Rotheram, vicar of Haltwhistle parish above mentioned, do hereby Certify that I have perused the within written estimate and the two Certificates above written and believe the same to be true but do not know of my own knowledge the facts or the persons so well as my Curate being from the parish when the flood happened and not having recided much within the parish since I became the Minister thereof As Witness my hand this Thirtieth day of December 1771.
