We whose Names are hereunto subscribed have made diligent
Inquiry into the Loss and Damage sustained by Wendam Robert
Bowery of Hexham Tyne Green Coal Carrier and do value the
same to the sum of ---- One Pound and ten shillings
And We do certify that the said Robert Bowery is very poor
and unable to sustain the Loss above mentioned Dated
