I hereby certify that to my knowledge, Adam Atkin of Newbrough, lost Wood by the late Flood, to the Value of One pound on Shilling and Six pence, which wood he had bought of Mrs William Ripling. As witness my hand this 14th day of March 1772 William Pearson Witness to William Pearson's I believe the above to be true signing the above and he is Jas Scott Rector">Rectr of Simonburn willing to maek Oath as to the Wm Laidman Vicar truth thereof of Warden also Geo. Pickering testifies that the above named Adam Atkin is a poor industrious man, and has a family of several small children
