| him to the sd Justices & the Ansr which he recd thereto a | ||||
| Copy of which is hereto annexed & Desired this Dept | ||||
| to carry the same to the sd Justices to know if what was | ||||

| contd in the sd paper was not right That ⁁ Dept immedly | ||||
| went in again to the Magistrates and after Acquainting them | ||||
| with what Mr Heron had said read the sd paper to them | ||||
| When they instantly said that what was contd in the sd | ||||
| paper a copy of which is hereunto Annexed, was not a | ||||
| Fair report of the matter because it wd appear | ||||
| therefrom that they were averse or thought themselves | ||||
| not justified in acceding to any proposals to be made | ||||
| on behalf of the sd Mr Errington who for ought they knew | ||||

| might have to propose to rebuild the Bridge in |

| pay the money recovered at Law or procure an Act | ||||
| of parliamt at his Expence, to justify their receiving | ||||
| less This Dept was therefore requested to inform sd Mr Heron | ||||
| that if it was agreed to the sd paper as the ? That | ||||
| he declined to make a proposal unless the Justices wd | ||||

| disposed to receive and accede to proposals if they could | ||||
