| Sir | ||||
| I wish you to present my | ||||
| respects to Mr Aynsley & the other | ||||
| Magistrates at the Hexham Sessions & | ||||
| acquaint them that it was my intention | ||||
| to meet them & make a proposition relative | ||||
| to Hexham Bridge but I have been advised | ||||
| to take the sense of the Count[y?] [a?]t t[he?] | ||||
| Assizes previous to that st[ep?] [it?] str[ikes?] | ||||
| me that it might be equally agreeable | ||||
| to the Magistrates to have that infor- | ||||
| -mation before any thing was agreed | ||||
| upon. I have therefore determined to collect | ||||
| the sense of the County at the Assizes, which | ||||
| I hope will enable me to make such a | ||||
| proposition as will meet with the appro- | ||||
| -bation of the Magistrates at the Sessions | ||||
