As to my Executor hereafter named shall be thought fitt and
Convenient. And now for ye settleing of my Temporall Estate; and
such Goods Chattells & Debts as in ye Lord in Mercy hath been pleased
far above my Deserts to bestow upon me, I Doe order, Give
bequeath & Dispose of ye same in manner & forme following: First
&
I will that all those Debts Dueties as I owe in right or Conscience
to any manner of person or persons whatsoever shall well &
truely be satisfyed, Contented & Pay’d or ordain’d to be payd wthin
Convenient time after my Decease, by my Executor hereafter
named. Item I give unto my Eldest Brother Hugh Rickardson ye
sume of Two shillings & sixpence of good & lawfull English
money to be payd by my Executor hereafter named. Item I give
and bequeath unto my Brother Christopher Rickardson the
sume of Two shillings & sixpence of good & lawfull English
money Item I give & bequeath unto my youngest Brother Matthew
Rickardson ye sume of Two shillings & sixpence of good & lawfull
English money. Item I give & bequeath unto my Brother Thomas
Rickardson ye sume of Two shillings & sixpence of good and
lawfull English money. Item I give unto Nicholas Whitfeild of
Clergill ye sume of Two Shillings & sixpence Item I give unto
Mary Walton of Skell Gill ye sume of Two shillings & sixpence
Item I give & bequeath unto John Rickardson of Swale Burnes
in ye parish of West Allendaile ye sume of Forty shillings Item I
give unto Eliz: Keenlyside of Woofe Cleugh in ye sd parish the
sume of Forty Shillings Item I give unto Jane Teasdaile of the
same place & parish ye sume of Five pounds of good & lawfull
English money. Item I give unto my Godson Robert Rickardson
ye sume of Twenty Shillings. Item I give unto my Godson John
Rickardson ye sume of Twenty pounds of good & lawfull English
money. Item I leave unto ye poor of ye parish of East & West Allendale
ye sume of Twenty pounds of good & lawfull English money
to be payd by my Executor unto ye Church Wardens of ye sd parish
at or before ye End & Expiration of Two years after my Decease
And my Will & meaning is That ye same shall be by them sett
forward to ye best advantage for ye use of ye said poor; And yt
they shall have ye Interest thereof yearly distributed amongst
them. Item I give unto George Hawdon senior my Brother in law
ye sume of Two shillings & sixpence Item I give unto his sons
William, John, George & Joseph each of them ye sume of Two
Shillings & sixpence of good and lawfull English money Item I
give & bequeath unto William Whitfeild of Allendaile Towne
the sume of Twenty Shillings Item I give & bequeath unto Tho:
Hodgon my Tenant ye sume of Twenty shillings of good
and lawfull English money Item I give & bequeath unto unto Tho.
